PHP_How to check a dog’s ears?

When examining your dog's ears, pay attention to their body language - your dog will let you know if there is any discomfort or pain. They may shake their heads, make uncomfortable noises, or back away. If your ears have a bad odor, this could also be a sign that something is wrong. If this is the case, please contact your veterinarian.
When examining your dog's ears, start by gently petting the face and the area around the ears. This will allow you to monitor their body language. If they show no signs of discomfort, gently lift their ears so you can see inside. You will check for redness, excess wax, or discharge. If you notice any of these or are unsure, we recommend contacting your veterinarian as soon as possible.
Do not use anything to clean your dog's ears, such as cotton swabs, as they may damage the ears.
